Here at the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort, we strive to be a leader in our industry and set the bar high, so our guests can feel safe and relaxed when visiting the resort.  Rest assured that the health and safety of our guests and staff, is our #1 priority.  

Taking all appropriate protective measures outlined by WorkSafe BC, BC Health Authority, BC Hotel Association and BC Restaurant Association, we have created new standard operating procedures. This includes strict and thorough cleaning and sanitization of all touch-points and surfaces throughout the resort in the front and back of house and continual deep cleaning protocols.

KINGFISHER HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES

Resort Wide Protocols

As per the BC public health order masks are required in all indoor common areas.  

  • Please consider the well being of others and maintain a distance of 6 feet from other guests.
  • If you do not feel well, we ask that you delay your visit and to reschedule when you are feeling better for the safety of our team and other guests.
  • We are asking all guests to reschedule their stay/ reservation/ appointment if:
    • They are experiencing symptoms of illness (fever, trouble breathing, coughing, sore throat, fatigue)
    • They are in contact with someone who is experiencing the above listed symptoms of illness.
  • Payments are encouraged through Debit, Credit Card, or Gift Cards.  
  • All Kingfisher employees have been provided with appropriate PPE following the guidelines as provided by WorkSafe BC.
  • Strict and thorough cleaning and sanitization of all high touch-points and surfaces have been implemented throughout the resort in the front and back of house, which includes continual deep cleaning protocols.

As per the BC public health order masks are required in all indoor common areas.  

POOL FACILITIES

Our outdoor pool facilities are open from 8:00am to 9:00pm Sunday to Thursdays and 8:00am to 10:00pm Fridays and Saturdays for hotel and day spa guests.

The outdoor pool facilities include access to our outdoor heated pool, hot tub, infrared sauna and steam cave. 

Guests staying at the resort may access the pool during the Spa opening hours.  Change room access will not be available at this time, so please wear your bathing suit and provided spa robe from your guest room.   

Children under the age of 13 are restricted to the 9:00am to 10:00am and 6:00pm to 8:00pm only.  Any guest 14 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Day spa guests may make a pool reservation, subject to availability, one hour pre or post your spa treatment or Hydropath appointment. Day spa guests are welcome to sign up by calling our Reservations Department at 1-800-663-7929. Please be advised, access to the pool facilities is not guaranteed with your spa booking.

Change rooms and lockers will currently be only available for day spa guests, one hour pre/post a spa treatment.  There will be no access to lockers for resort guests at this time.  Bathroom facilities will remain open. 

 

  • Our fitness centre and yoga studio remain temporarily closed.
  • All spa services, including our Hydropath require advanced reservations.
  • Pacific Mist Spa will be limiting available amenities that are high touch for guests. Brochures, product testers and hair styling equipment will be removed.
  • Change rooms and lockers will currently be only available for day spa Hydropath guests and day spa pool reservations one hour pre/post a spa treatment for day spa guests.  There will be no access to lockers and robes for other spa services.  Bathroom facilities will remain open.
  • We kindly ask that you check into the spa building no more than 15 minutes prior to your Massage & Esthetics appointment time to minimize guest congestion.
  • Day spa Hydropath guests, we request that you arrive for your appointment 30 minutes before your scheduled time.  Unfortunately we cannot accommodate late arrivals at this time, in consideration of other guests.
  • We kindly ask guests to show up for their appointment unaccompanied by friends or family, unless they are here to provide medical support.
  • Our front desk team will welcome you upon arrival and navigate you directly to the waiting lounge in time for your scheduled appointment.
  • We require all guests to cancel or reschedule their appointment if they are feeling ill or have a family member who is confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19.  Cancellation fees will be waived in this instance.
  • We request all guests sanitize or wash their hands upon entering the spa building. 

Hydropath

  • Day spa Hydropath guests, we request that you arrive for your appointment 30 minutes before your scheduled time.  Unfortunately we cannot accommodate late arrivals at this time, in consideration of other guests.
